Aoife Anderson is a soprano from Collooney, Co. Sligo, and an experienced singer for weddings, funerals, and special events. She began singing at just 10 years of age under the tuition of soprano Annmarie Keaney and has since developed an impressive musical career.
Aoife has completed all Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM) vocal grades with Distinction and is the recipient of three RIAM Higher Achievement Awards. She has also enjoyed success at both the Sligo and Dublin Feis Ceoil, winning numerous competitions over the years.
She went on to study voice and music at the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama in Dublin, where she trained under soprano Sinéad Campbell Wallace.
Aoife has performed at prestigious venues across Ireland, including the National Concert Hall in Dublin, the Royal Theatre in Castlebar and the Hawkswell Theatre in Sligo.
Her musical theatre work includes the role of Mrs Teevee in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with Sligo Music Society, Miss Maude in The House on Cedarwood Drive, and Lily in Esmeray – The Girl from the Far Side of the Moon with The Mad Ravens. She has also appeared in The King and I with Sligo Music Society and The Producers with Sligo Pop-Up Theatre. All productions enjoyed successful runs at the Hawkswell Theatre.
Performing regularly at Kieran Quinn Theme Nights has also been a highlight of Aoife’s career.
In addition to performing, Aoife is a dedicated vocal tutor, offering voice lessons for both children and adults at Taylors Art Gallery in Castlebaldwin. Her lessons are suitable for beginners through to more advanced singers, with a focus on healthy vocal technique and confidence-building.
Aoife also organises an annual charity Christmas concert at Castle Dargan Hotel, featuring a host of local musicians and singers. To date, the concert has raised over €28,000 for charities including North West Hospice, Sligo Cancer Support Centre, Ronald McDonald House Crumlin and STOP Suicide Prevention.
